DA (symbol)

Single geometrically contructed symbols form the building blocks the
language of UCADIA.These individual symbols are known as DA.

5.2.1 Pre-built understanding of relationships

Unlike word concepts, the relationship between one DA (symbol) and another is explicitly known by virtue of the unique signature of symbol components.

This means that once the understanding of the various components are known, a person may read various DA's and know exactly how they relate without necessarily having read or seen the unique DA before.

This enables a rapid acceleration of learning as well as an ability to trust that relationships are accurately and truly described.

5.2.2 The internal structure of a DA defines its relationships by formal category
The importance difference between a DA and say English words is that by the combination of shapes within a DA, a person may understand exactly what relationships by category a DA belongs.
Even if a person encounters a new DA that they have never seen before, providing they have some basic understanding of the rules and shapes means that they in all probability know roughly "where" the DA belongs.
This ability to search out patterns and commonality is one of the great strenghts of the UCADIA system.
